Mono and binuclear cadmium complexes: X-ray crystal structures, Hirshfeld surface analysis and antimicrobial/antioxidant studies

Abstract

A bidentate Schiff base ligand(L) and two new mono and binuclear cadmium(II) complexes formulated as [CdL2(NO3)](NO3) and [Cd2L2Cl4] were synthesized and their structures were characterized by physical and spectral techniques Moreover, the structures of the cadmium(II) complexes were identified using single crystal X-ray analysis. Hirshfeld surface analysis was used to characterize various interactions in the solid state framework. Thermal behaviors of the compounds were investigated from room temperature to 800 °C.
